DAILY RHYTHMS

LEGACY AND LEGACY LANE

We are so pleased that you have selected the Legacy Lane as a place to live and to continue to grow in your life journey. It is important to us that you have days filled with enjoyable experiences that will provide a meaningful life here. To assist you with this, we offer a day filled with plenty of things to keep you engaged and promote personal wellness. Below, we describe some of the daily offerings that we encourage you to become a part of.

• It’s All About You! – In the days immediately following your loved one’s arrival, the Legacy Lane Coordinator or an Activities Associate will meet with him/her in order to determine what types of activities he/she enjoys and finds meaningful.

• Get Up & Go! – After a night of sleep and inactivity, we begin the day with gentle movements and slowly transition to more energetic movements to assist your loved one in “shaking off the morning blahs.”

• Creative Cooking – We know that there are joys and fond memories associated with preparing and enjoying food as part of a group. That’s why we offer residents the opportunity to be involved with regular food preparation projects on the Lane.

• Daily Reminiscence – One of the joys of reaching our senior years is that we have accumulated many, many years of wonderful memories. By gathering as a group each day and sharing these memories, we can relive them and again appreciate our lives well lived.

• Creative Hands – Every day, we will offer a project that will allow residents to work with their hands either individually or as a group. Whether it’s continuing a life-long hobby, learning a new artistic process or making a season-specific creation, your loved one will have the opportunity to be involved in hands-on activities daily.

Be sure to ask about our other Legacy/Legacy Lane activities such as:

Musical Celebrations

Daily Housekeeping

Gathering of Friends

Brain Ticklers

Group Games

If, at any time, you feel that the programs that we are offering are not enjoyable or meaningful for your loved one, please let us know. We will do our best to further individualize our activity offerings to ensure that our residents are living life to the fullest! Although our programs are fairly structured in nature, there are still plenty of opportunities to make certain that each individual has a meaningful life experience while with us.

INSPIRED LIVING

PROGRAMS

Our health campus is committed to enriching the lives of our Independent Living residents, through our Inspired Living lifestyle. This lifestyle is based on five dimensions of wellness that include: Mind; Body; Community; Vocation and Spirit. We welcome and encourage family, community, and team member involvement, as we engage and enrich the lives of the people we serve, through purposeful activities of each resident’s interest.

Below are just a few of the programs we offer:

Vitality: Physical movement is vital to wellness! At least three times weekly, we offer wellness options such as strength training, yoga, Tai Chi, stretching, balancing, dancing, walking clubs, wellness seminars, Synchrony FIT (in house Therapy led programs), etc.

Lifelong Learning: Understanding that learning is for life, we provide a cooperative educational community that fosters, promotes, and provides intellectual, cultural, and art-of-living learning experiences weekly. Our Lifelong Learning Series can include courses in Art, Computers, History, Languages, Music & Performing Arts, Psychology, etc. We also offer a lecture series on topics such as Financial Health, Healthy Eating, Fitness and Elder Law.

Inspirations: Managing your responses to life’s ups and downs and connecting with your heart to find harmony with the universe are the tenants to emotional and spiritual wellness. Worship services are offered weekly, along with a variety of other religious and non-religious activities such as Bible study, meditation, relaxation/tranquility programs, grief/bereavement support groups, journaling, life stories, devotions and much more.

Out and About: Staying connected to activities and resources in your local community is important. We provide outings of resident choice two times weekly. These trips are meant to engage residents and are planned during resident meetings. Some possible outings can include going out to eat, museums, shopping, parks, fishing, sporting events, theaters/plays, just to name a few.

Connections: Creating and maintaining healthy relationships is essential to your well-being. You will have the opportunity to engage and make connections with your neighbors at least five times weekly, through participation in clubs of community interest (i.e. book clubs; gardening; quilting; political action) parties (i.e. happy hour; block parties; cooking classes; painting lessons; workshops) and games (i.e. cards; board and yard games).

Vocation: Achieving personal and occupational interests through meaningful activities, including lifespan occupations, learning new skills, volunteering, and developing new interests or hobbies is the focus of vocational wellness. At least once a week, you will have the opportunity to serve and lead others, and share your talents through activities such as fundraising, community service, activity clubs and leadership opportunities.

See the campus Concierge or Community Lifestyle Director to learn about more of our activities.

DINING SERVICES

Welcome to the Trilogy Dining Experience.

In an effort to provide you and your loved ones with the best quality food and dining experience, we have established some tried and true “Trilogy Service Standards” that are provided at each of our campuses by our talented Chef ’s, Dietitians and our Nursing Team. Our seasoned Chef ’s have put together the “Chef ’s Meal of the day” based on our residents suggestions as well as the results of some very successful meals that we have created at the campuses over the years.

Our residents are our inspiration for some of our favorite meals and desserts. Families have graciously shared their most beloved recipes with us over the years to make their loved ones feel more at home. These delectables are then offered to our residents daily for lunch and dinner with nothing in mind but their happiness and satisfaction as the “Chef ’s Meal of the day”.

The “Chef’s Meal of the day” is only one of our many options for Lunch and Dinner. We also offer a “Cafe Menu” for you and your loved ones to enjoy if they are just not in the mood for what the Chef has prepared for the day. This menu is comprised of favorites like grilled 1/4 pound black Angus burgers, hand battered perch, pork tenderloin sandwich, fresh seasonal fruit salads with cottage cheese and the ever popular grilled cheese and tomato soup. These are only a sample of the “regional” choices that are available daily to you, your family, and your friends.

Please make suggestions! If we don’t have it, we can usually make it or at the very least try to surprise you or your loved one with it at a later date.

Welcome!

We are looking forward to serving you.
