FACILITY SECURITY

Facility Security - Families

Attention Residents, Families and Visitors,

In an effort to provide an additional level of safety for our residents, we have installed a magnetic lock on the front door and the back gate doors.  This will ensure that no one enters the facility that does not belong.  The magnetic locks will always be engaged, however, they are attached to our fire alarm system.  In the event the fire alarm sounds, the magnetic locks will automatically release for a safe exit for all from the facility.

The procedure for entry is as follows:

1.  Arrive at the front door.

2. Press the doorbell on the Airphone device outside the front door. (see picture above)

3. Staff members will be able to see you and talk to you to verify who you are and can then buzz your into the facility.

4.  Once staff say you can come in, you can either open the front door with the handle or press the automatic entry button by the sidewalk.

The procedure for exit is as follows:

1. Ask a staff member at the Nurse's Station to buzz you out.

2. If there is no one at the Nurse's Station, you can push the door pushbar for 15 seconds and the door will unlock.  Know that an alarm will sound when you do this to alert staff that someone has exited the facility.

Separately, the gates at the rear of the facility will only have a code for entry.  Families and visitors need to enter the facility through the front door as we will not be distributing the code to anyone other than employees of the facility.

We appreciate your coming to visit your loved ones and hope you appreciate this enhanced level of security for our staff and residents.

Thank You,

Adam Revia, Administrator
